Memar seeks to model smart growth, which has been embraced by the residents of Berkeley as reflected in the 2008 Climate Action Plan and the 2012 Downtown Plan.  Memar strives to create sustainable infill housing, primarily in the City of Berkeley.

Memar recognizes that locating housing near public transit is the most important way to reduce oil consumption and greenhouse gas emissions, and is therefore committed to developments that further this goal and produce both economic and environmental benefits for the community and the investors.
